Gundre Zone is a scenic safari area in Bandipur Tiger Reserve, located along important wildlife corridors. The zone features dry deciduous forests, bamboo groves, open grasslands, and seasonal streams that attract a wide variety of wildlife. Visitors can enjoy jeep safaris with opportunities to spot Asian elephants, gaur, sambar deer, spotted deer, leopards, and occasionally Bengal tigers in a peaceful natural setting.

The Gundre Zone is located in the central part of Bandipur Tiger Reserve and lies along important wildlife movement corridors. It is easily accessible from the Gundlupet side of the park and is characterized by gentle hills, open forest tracks, and proximity to seasonal streams and valleys that attract wildlife
