Location: The Jhirna Zone is situated in the southern part of Corbett National Park, with the entry gate located around 16 km from Ramnagar. Unlike some other zones, Jhirna is open throughout the year, making it a great choice during the monsoon season.
Flora and Fauna: This zone features dense mixed forests and large open areas where tigers are frequently spotted. Jhirna is also known for its significant population of sloth bears, which is rare in other zones. Bird species like peafowl, woodpeckers, and eagles thrive in this area. Additionally, Jhirna’s rich vegetation supports a variety of herbivores like nilgai (blue bull) and wild boars.
