Maharashtra’s oldest and largest national park, Tadoba National Park, also known as Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve, is one of India’s 47 Project Tiger Reserves in India. It is located in the Chandrapur district of Maharashtra, about 150 km (about 93.21 mi) from Nagpur city. The total area of the Tiger Reserve is 1,727 km (about 1073.11 mi) ², including Tadoba National Park, which was established in 1955. The Andhari Wildlife Sanctuary was founded in 1986 and merged with the park in 1995 to form what is now Tadoba Andheri Tiger Reserve. The word “Tadoba” comes from the name of the deity praised by the natives of the region, “Tadoba” or “Taru”, while “Andhari” comes from the name of the Andhari River that flows through the region. According to the 2010 National Tiger Survey, the reserve is home to about 43 tigers, making it one of the highest numbers of tigers in India. 

Tadoba National Park is divided into three forest areas, the Tadoba North Mountains, the Colusa South Mountains, and the Morhurli Mountains, which lie between the first two. Within the park are two lakes and one river, ‘Lake Tadoba’, ‘Lake aka Kolsa’, and ‘River Tadoba’, which fill up every monsoon. These lakes and rivers provide the vital elements needed to sustain life in the park. 

Tadoba Tiger Reserve is rich in flora and fauna. Some of the famous and wildly seen plants are in this park. Tadoba National Park’s main attractions are the open-top gypsy jungle and tiger safari. There is also a chance to meet rare sloth bears and wild dogs. The forest is home to some of Central India’s finest native forest birds.  

Known for its rich biodiversity, Tadoba National Park is truly a nature lover’s paradise. Home to big cats, the park is designated as its 41st tiger sanctuary in India. In addition to tigers, wild boars, leopards, spotted deer, rusty-spotted cats, mouse deer, sambar, gaur, sloths, square antelopes, and flying squirrels live here. 

DAY 01: Arriving in Nagpur 

Upon arrival at Nagpur train station or airport, our representative will meet you and drive you to Tadoba. Located in the Chandrapur district, the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve is Maharashtra’s oldest and largest national park Tadoba National Park has some of the best forest trails and is rich in biodiversity. DAY 02: A Safari to Tadoba National Park 

On day 2 your Taboda 3 Nights and 4 Days Package will start early in the morning, and a jeep will pick you up from your resort for the jungle safari. This is the time when you can see various birds spreading their wings high in the sky. A wide variety of wildlife awaits you, as well as birds. After the jungle safari, return to the resort for breakfast. Enjoy breakfast and lunch before embarking again on the evening jeep safari to the national park. The chances of seeing tigers increase in the evening. 

Return to your resort before it gets too dark. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the resort.   

DAY 03: Continuing a Safari to Taboda National Park 

Continue your wildlife adventure at Tadoba National Park for two days in a row. For this reason, you will enter the national park twice, on morning and afternoon jungle safaris. Dinner and overnight at the Wildlife Resort. 

DAY 04: Tadoba National Park – Nagpur Departure  

After a hearty breakfast, head to Nagpur. Upon arrival in Nagpur, you will be transferred to the airport/train station for your next journey.
