How to Reach

By Air:

  • Nearest major airports: Jodhpur Airport (~153 km) and Udaipur Maharana Pratap Airport (~149 km) from Jawai.

By Rail:

  • Mori Bera Railway Station (~4 km)
  • Jawai Bandh Railway Station / Falna (~35 km) — all well‑connected to cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Udaipur, and Jaipur.

By Road:

  • Accessible by taxis and buses from Jodhpur, Udaipur, Jaipur and even Delhi via highways; vehicles are commonly available from nearby stations.

  • Jawai’s landscape features rugged granite hills, scrub forests, water bodies, and wetlands around the Jawai Dam. These attract diverse wildlife:
  • Leopards — high density, often spotted even near villages.
  • Mugger crocodiles around water bodies.
  • Hyenas, jackals, foxes, sloth bears.
  • Birdlife: Over 150–200 migratory and resident species frequent wetlands and dam areas.
