Location:
The Kanha Zone is located at the center of the reserve, offering picturesque landscapes and being one of the prime areas for wildlife sightings. It is the most visited zone, attracting both wildlife enthusiasts and photographers alike.
Flora and Fauna:
This zone is known for its expansive grasslands, or meadows, which are home to a large population of barasingha (swamp deer), a species that Kanha has successfully conserved. Apart from the Bengal tiger, other common sightings include leopards, wild dogs (dhole), and gaur (Indian bison). The zone is also rich in birdlife, making it ideal for birdwatching.
