Location:
Kolara is situated near the northern boundary of the park and is one of the most easily accessible zones for visitors coming from Nagpur. It is one of the most popular safari zones for spotting the big cats.
Flora and Fauna:
Kolara is known for its lush bamboo thickets and sal forests, providing the perfect habitat for tigers, leopards, and sloth bears. Indian gaur and spotted deer are frequently seen grazing in the open clearings. Bird lovers will also enjoy the rich birdlife in this zone, with sightings of crested serpent eagles, painted storks, and woodpeckers.
